1. Accepting these terms

Welcome to NowText. These terms apply to your access to nowtext.ai and its online tools, and explain the responsibilities associated with using the service.

Read these terms before use. Using the service means you accept them; if you disagree, stop using it. You must have the appropriate authorization when acting for an organization.

2. Scope of the service

NowText helps turn speech in audio, video, and supported links into text. It also offers tools such as audio trimming and video-to-audio conversion. Available features, formats, and file requirements are described on the relevant pages.

Results and availability may be affected by source files, network conditions, and external platform changes. Features and supported inputs may change as the product develops.

3. Eligibility and account responsibilities

You must be able to accept these terms and meet applicable age and parental authorization requirements where you live. The service is not intended for children under 13.

When using account features, provide accurate information and protect your sign-in credentials. Tell us promptly about unauthorized access or other account security concerns.

4. Submitted content and permissions

You must be entitled to submit the files, links, and other content you use, and obtain permission needed to process them. This includes authorization concerning other people’s speech, personal information, or protected works.

You keep the rights you hold in your content. To carry out your requests, you permit NowText and relevant providers to process, store, and display it as necessary to provide and maintain the service. This does not transfer ownership of your content.

Access to a third-party link or shared content does not by itself give you permission to download, transcribe, republish, or use it commercially. Follow the source website’s applicable rules and confirm the necessary permissions before sharing source content or transcripts, respecting copyright, privacy, and other rights. Support for link processing does not imply a partnership with or endorsement by the content source.

5. Responsible use

You may use the service for personal or commercial projects when you have the necessary rights. You must not:

• Infringe copyright, privacy, or other rights, or submit confidential material you are not authorized to disclose.
• Use the service for unlawful activity, fraud, impersonation, or other harm to people’s rights.
• Bypass access controls, authentication, or service usage restrictions.
• Disrupt the service or other users through malicious software, unauthorized probing, or excessive automated requests.
• Without written permission, do not resell or rent out accounts or access to the service, or repackage its interfaces for third-party use.

6. Automated results

Transcription and media processing rely on automated technology. Results may contain omissions, recognition mistakes, or incorrect speaker and timing information. Recording quality, background noise, and the way people speak can affect the output.

Check results against the source before publishing, delivering them to others, or making important decisions. NowText does not guarantee completeness, accuracy, or suitability for a particular use.

Results are not professional advice or certified records. For important legal, medical, financial, or similar uses, have an appropriately qualified person verify them rather than making decisions solely on automated output.

7. Privacy and file management

Information involved in using the service is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. Please refer to that policy for details about service providers involved in processing information and the purposes of that processing.

Save source files and results you need to keep. The service is not a permanent storage or backup facility. Our Privacy Policy explains retention, task deletion, and how to make personal information requests.

8. Rights in the website and service

NowText branding, interfaces, software, and other service materials are owned or licensed by their respective rights holders. Using the service does not give you ownership of those materials.

Do not copy, distribute, or otherwise use protected service materials except as permitted by law, applicable open-source licenses, or the rights holder. These terms do not restrict the rights you hold in your own content.

9. Service changes and access restrictions

Maintenance, faults, or external service changes may cause delays, interruptions, or unavailable features. We may adjust the service as operational needs change, and do not guarantee continuous availability or completion within a particular time.

We may restrict or suspend access as necessary when use violates these terms, creates security risks, or affects other users. We will give notice where reasonably practicable; urgent situations may require immediate action.

You may stop using the service at any time. Contact us to request account closure or if you believe access was restricted in error.

10. Scope of responsibility

To the extent allowed by applicable law, the service is offered as available. You are responsible for deciding whether it meets your needs, for the lawfulness of submitted content, and for how you use results.

If unlawful conduct, infringement of third-party rights, or a breach of these terms attributable to you causes us actual loss, you are responsible, to the extent permitted by applicable law, for reasonable losses directly caused by that conduct and necessary enforcement costs. Responsibility and amounts must be established by the facts, applicable law, and agreement between the parties or a competent authority’s determination. This does not include liability that we must bear ourselves.

To the extent allowed by applicable law, NowText and its operators are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses from using the service. These terms do not exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded or limit mandatory consumer rights.

11. Updates and application

Changes to the service may require updates to these terms. We will show the latest revision date on this page and give additional notice of material changes where legally required.

Revised terms apply to subsequent use. Stop using the service if you disagree with them. If a provision cannot be enforced, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
